Our research institute is a specialized industrial technology institute under the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy aimed at helping shipbuilding and marine equipment industry to develop with the comprehensive support.
Our goal is to contribute to the development of the shipbuilding and marine equipment industry through comprehensive support such as technology development, testing and certification of shipbuilding and marine equipment.
Recently, IMO (International Maritime Organization) has been strengthening marine environment regulation and recommending operating smart port and smart ship. The shipbuilding and marine industry has been making efforts to develop eco friendly vessels and smart autonomous vessels in order to overcome the recession.
In line with these efforts, our research institute is also striving to establish the foundation to grow together with Korean shipbuilding and marine equipment companies by improving eco friendly and smart ship development, customer service through advanced testing technology, and operating quality through communication and harmony.
