- What is the Standard Development Cooperation Agency (COSD) system?
It refers to a system that delegates the entire national standard work by designating cooperative organizations for the development of industrial standards by specialized field among corporations or organizations that perform tasks related to industrial standardization. <Related Acts: Article 5 of the Industrial Standardization Act>
Operational direction of Standard Development Cooperation Agency (COSD)
It is expected to efficiently operate national standards and advance standards as the National Institute of Technology and Standards is in charge of planning and policy establishment, and the private sector is in charge of national standards development to dominate the global market.
KOMERI as a standard development cooperative organization
The Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Research Institute has been designated as a standard development cooperation organization since November 11, 2008.
- Designation number: No. 2019-016
- Designated period: April 29, 2019 to April 28, 2024.
- Designated fields: KS(V) ship and marine technology, KS(B) oil gas industry including low carbon energy, KS(X) marine wireless communication, KS(M) fisheries and aquaculture 227 kinds
Work related to standard development
The Korea Institute of Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment establishes an annual standard development plan and conducts systematic national standard development and management for the smooth operation of standard development work.

- KS Standard Review
- Operation of the Standards Development and Technology Committee and the Standards Expert Working Group
- Collection and review of technical data related to domestic and foreign standards
- Perform standardized research services
